Glitz, Glamour At Stanbic Media Appreciation Session

The event, which over the years adopted themes and turned into a fashion show, returned with style once again. It became clear when the session kicked off at 2pm that it is not just a ‘mix and mingle’ session involving just food and beverages in the outdoors beer garden.

This year’s edition was bigger and better with attendees, journalists and bankers alike, showing off their fashion styles.

The theme for this year’s event was carnival. Dress code was denim and a hat.  While there are no rules on how to wear, basically attendees were to rock in their cowboy costumes. As it is known, cowboys definitely have a way with fashion. But it was mostly the women who rocked the cowboy costume.

However, men did not want to be left behind with their hats, as it is said that no self-respecting cowboy walks out onto the open range without their hat.

The costumes made for a great look and scenery. Those who chose not to follow the theme also did not disappoint, as by dumb luck they were dressed for the occasion.  Some, if not most people, wore denim trousers and t-shirts.

Attendees also played games during the session to make for a great atmosphere.  It was not just about fashion as the attendees were spoiled with endless music from local Djs Cody BW, Chrispin The Drummer and Shaft People.
