Zimbabwe President on a two-day State Visit

“The visit will afford the two leaders an opportunity to deliberate on bilateral, regional, and international issues of mutual concern. It will also serve to further strengthen the long standing cordial relations between Botswana and Zimbabwe,” a statement from the Ministry of International Affairs and Cooperation, stated.

The State Visit was be preceded by the 12th Session of the Botswana-Zimbabwe Joint Permanent Commission on Cooperation (JPCC) from the 8th to the 11th of February, 2018 co-Chaired by the Minister of International Affairs and Cooperation, Dr. Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi, and Zimbabwe’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Dr. Sibusiso Moyo.

President Mnangagwa will address Parliament at 3pm this afternoon after his closed talks with President Khama in the morning and a State Luncheon.

He is expected to address Botswana-Zimbabwe business seminar on Tuesday at Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC).

Zimbabwean president will also tour the Diamond Trading Company (DTC) before his return tomorrow.
