BFA public relations officer, Tumo Mpatane confirmed today's meeting.
Butler is keen to stay on but has publicly expressed his disappointment at the lack of support from the BFA. He picked unnamed executive committee members for criticism.
Allowances were not paid on time and the coach felt that there are some people who are not supporting his cause.
It is an open secret that the BFA president, Maclean Letshwiti faces opposition from other national executive committee members on giving Butler another three year contract.
Butler has been waiting for a new contract after he was offered a three months extension at the expiry of a three year deal signed in 2014.
