Nata-Maun road to be rehabilitated

Mokaila added that as a short to medium term measure, his ministry was resealing the road section from Maun to Makalamabedi Veterinary Gate.
He also explained that tenders for the rehabilitation of the road section from Makalamabedi to Phuduhudu were at evaluation stage and were expected to commence at the beginning of April this year.
“The tender documents of the road section from Phuduhudu to Nata including the rehabilitation of the Nata-Zoroga flood damaged road section are being vetted. There are plans to float the tenders.
As a long term solution, invitation to tender for procurement of a consultant to carry out the design of the Nata road is being vetted and tenders for design are planned to be floated in May, 2018,” he said.
This comes after the Member of Parliament of Maun East, Konstantinos Markus asked the minister if he was aware that the Nata-Maun road was in a bad state and if so, when would it be attended to.
