All-male ballet group to serenade Maitisong

This time around WeSSide Entertainment has decided to bring the all-male ballet group founded by the honoured Russian artist, who is also one of Russia's classic and modern dance symbols.

Mikhailovsky's State Saint-Petersburg Male Ballet group consists of only a selected few first-class leading dancers and limited supporting dancers from the classic Russian repertoire.  For the first time in the history of Russian ballet, a dancing group was formed exclusively of males and for the first time ever; male-dancers stepped into pointed-shoes and performed legendary feminine ballet parts of world classic ballets.

The professionalism of the new troupe, the virtuosity of their tiptoe dancing technique delighted audiences around the globe. Their uniqueness is expressed through their extraordinary dance skills and the execution of classic and avant-garde modern ballet pieces.

The programme will feature many different excerpts from Carmen, Swan Lake amongst others to display one of the most glamorous events Gaborone has ever seen.

The event is supported, among others, by Norilsk Nickel, Orange Botswana, The Federation of Russia, Firefox Communications, Sunday Standard and Gabz FM. Over the years, WeSSide Entertainment in association with Edourd Miasnikov has brought the best of Russia's ballet and opera by hosting the Crown of the Russian Ballet, The Stars of the Moscow Ballet and Iolanta (First opera in Botswana). Tickets are already on sale at Maitisong.
