Zims in the Diaspora mourn Tsvangirai

The former Zimbabwe Prime Minister, Morgan Tsvangirai succumbed to colon cancer on Wednesday night in South Africa

Brighton Dube (26)

“The passing on of Tsvangirai is a great loss to the people of Zimbabwe. He was not like former President Robert Mugabe. He helped a lot to revive our moribund economy. He managed to bring foreign investors to Zimbabwe when our economy was on its knees. We will greatly miss this great son of the soil. May his soul rest in peace,” a sad looking Dube said.

Brighton Moyo (41)

“We are very much saddened by the death of Tsvangirai. If it were not for his political contributions in our country, things could have gotten from bad to worse.  Tsvangirai was a great man. He changed the lives of Zimbabweans for the better. He sadly passed on when our country was entering a new epoch and when his contributions were needed the most. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” Moyo said.

Lloyd Macheme (31)

“Words cannot describe how depressed I feel about the passing away of that great man. Things - economic, political, social - will never be the same without that man.  I come from the same area as Tsvangirai.  We respected Tsvangirai like the father of the nation.  He only wanted good things for his countrymen.  His memory will forever be in our hearts. God bless him and may his soul rest in peace,” a forlorn Macheme said.

“Tsvangirai was a great man. He was among the great people that brought hope to millions of Zimbabweans back home and in the Diaspora.  He also brought hope and inspired people from other countries. He contributed a lot in freeing Zimbabweans from the impunity that they were living in under the leadership of toppled president Robert Mugabe.  We will always remember and dearly miss him.  May his soul rest in peace.”
