He said the said public servants should be tried Nuremberg style for acting unreasonably and unlawfully. He said most of these senior officers consciously and knowingly aid corruption in the BDP-led Government.

The Botswana Congress Party (BCP) and Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) political activist explained that after the 2nd World War, all public servants who assisted the German dictator, Adolf Hitler, were dragged before the courts in the famous Nuremberg trials, accused of being personally responsible for the war crimes.

Millions of people lost their lives during the war due to some of their conduct. Kapinga said that the BDP does not respect the public service employees and therefore does not expect the employees to vote for the party.

Kapinga was the Guest Speaker recently at the UDC victory party organised by the BNF councillor, Lefty Ngati of Bosele/Molapo ward in Gantsi North constituency. He showered Ngati with praises for appreciating his voters and taking time to reflect on his political roadmap.

He said councillors are the foundation and support base for the Members of Parliament (MPs). He said the four constituencies in Kgalagadi and Gantsi should be won by UDC in 2019 and that the country should be cleansed of the BDP completely.

On the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM), he said despite the public outcry, including condemnation from  former President Sir Ketumile Masire, BDP was unrelenting.

He said the Bill was brought to Parliament at dead of night under unprecedented urgency. He said it was time to take serious action against the BDP-led Government as Batswana and Africa have lost pride in the country.

This, he said is demonstrated by failure to win international appointments by the country’s candidates, notably recent losses by Athalia Molokomme, Masekgoa Masire-Mwamba and Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi. He said since 2008, when Khama ascended the Presidency, the BDP destroyed all prestigious oversight institutions and parastatals by appointing incompetent BDP activists.

In search of solutions, he called for a commission of inquiry post-2019 on corruption issues and gave example of the military spending in which the Khama family is directly benefiting.

He said the BDP should be voted out since it was an accomplice to the Khama corruption and abuses. He said President Ian Khama’s Governement was ready to spend P15 billion on sophisticated military aircraft when there was no threat of war ,and yet thousands of Batswana were unemployed, hungry and starving.

Kapinga informed the audience that public funds that are collected from Batswana through Value Added Tax, Income Tax and other revenues  should be used responsibly by the Government and that the BDP should desist from misleading Batswana that it was their money when Batswana apply for Government schemes and programmes.

He said the country is drowning in the biblical Noah floods and encouraged Batswana to seek refuge in the UDC boat en-route to 2019. Other UDC leaders who graced the occasion as speakers were BNF Central Committee (CC) members and leaders, notably the chairperson Abigail Mogalakwe and other dignitaries from UDC affiliates, BMD and BCP.
