Nyoni establishes music act

“The Power of One is a live music group, whose act centers around the founder myself, but continues to grow with other talented local artists and musicians who will show face from time to time,” Nyoni said.
The first single from the act was released a few days ago with vocalist Nnete ‘Izvare’ Lubinda singing and rapping on an RnB ballad titled Lesedi. The single was composed by Nyoni and mastered by Francois ‘FAT’ Titus.
The song talks about the dynamics of love and relationships between couples, it has that studio feel with the laying of every instrument.
Nyoni noted that The Power of One would be releasing a number of songs during the first quarter of the year with a number of young artists.
Prior Power of One last year, Nyoni and his musical partner Terry Lewis worked as WDP and released a celebrated crossover jazz music album titled The Bechuanaland Sessions Phase 1.
Over the years Nyoni has worked with a number of ensembles such as Sereetsi and the Natives, Summer of ‘79 and Perfect Pitch. It is yet to be seen how the new act he established will perform since this is the early stage of the project.
