Bailey bridge accident claims life

Woodhall station commander Tebogo Madisa said in a brief interview that there was an accident involving a Honda Fit motor vehicle but could not reveal further details since investigations are ongoing.
“We are investigating an accident which took place at Nnywane Barley bridge on Saturday night,” he said.
According to witnesses, the car swerved off the road before hitting another vehicle and fell into the river. The driver was certified dead on arrival at the hospital.
In another accident that took place over the weekend in Lobatse, five passengers survived when two Toyota Corolla cars collided near Pitikwe location. The accident happened in the wee hours of Saturday morning. Victims were attended to and released from Athlone hospital on the same night. Police investigations are still ongoing.
