Tebbie preaches blood donation

The artist has taken it upon herself to motivate the general public to donate blood.  This comes after realising that there is a great shortage of blood across NBTS reserve banks and the local health facilities. 

“I worked with blood donation for a long time. Those times I used to perform my gospel songs as they were relating to their mandate.  Finally NBTS approached me to compose songs for their blood donation campaign.  

I agreed because I also realised that there is a nationwide crisis. We are now at 27,000 litres instead of 40,000 litres of blood needed in the local blood reserve banks.  This raises eyebrows.  

That is why I decided to raise awareness on blood donation,” she said.

In her song, Tebbie points out the importance of donating blood as it can save lives.  

She said she wrote and composed the song because she recognised that a message could be transferred faster and easier through music and listeners could relate to the message conveyed in the song.  

She had previously composed and sung songs for Debswana and the ruling Botswana Democratic Party.

Kudu Communications and China Civil Engineering Construction sponsored the single.
