Ban T joins Naija Afro Pop wagon

The single titled, Don Dada was officially released last week during the rapper’s 21st birthday celebrations at My Kind Of Place (MKOP).

From the production to the lyricism the rapper did good to draw nearer to Naija music unlike many artists who try hard to sound like Nigerians.

“I wouldn’t say it is a Naija sound, it’s an Afro pop sound inspired by the Nigerian sound, it’s the trending sound right now.  I was experimenting with my producer Taku and we wanted to do something out of our comfort zone, I am an artist so I don’t like to refer to myself as a rapper.  The experiment worked out for us,” Ban T said.

Don Dada is the title he says he has given himself, particularly used for moments he proposes to a woman and tells her that he will be her Don Dada and give her everything she wants.

The single has been released on different online platforms for free streaming and has been receiving different reviews from his fans and the general public.

The rapper who released his debut album, The Bantastic Experience late last year is already working on his sophomore release with Don Dada being the first official single from the upcoming album, which he says will be out during the second half of the year.
