This has been dubbed as the first Indo-African collaboration. The two have not only worked on a single but they are working on an Indo-African album set to be released on a date to be announced.

“I met Ekam in 2013 upon travelling to India for the Kritya Poetry Festival where I was staging a performance. We networked and decided to work on a project together,” said Berry Heart.

Berry Heart will be leaving for India in a few weeks where they will be launching the song and shooting the video for Pyaar. After the India launch they will both travel to Botswana to launch the song.

The track has that Bollywood feel, touch of theatrical high note and instrumentation. The two decided to be artistic on the track as they sang in their native languages. Berry Heart sang and recited poetry in Shekgalagari while Maanuke sang in Punjabi.

“Through this song we were trying to send a message that people from different cultural backgrounds can fall in love or work together despite their differences. We are also working together on an album that will feature different artists from India and Botswana,” said the Letting go musician.

Maanuke and Berry Heart share a lot in common as they are musicians, poets and writers.

She stated that in music there is no such thing as language barrier as she has managed to touch many hearts with her mother tongue Shekgalagari.

Berry Heart stated that this collaboration came as a blessing from God because she always had an eye for Bollywood and hinted that soon she might be in one of the movies as she has built relationships in India.

Indian artist Maanuke seems to be excited by the collaboration project with Berry Heart.

“I’m feeling amazing to share the first look of our upcoming song Pyaar an Indo-African collaboration; Berry Heart from Botswana joining me a beautiful journey of wonderful music. It’s my first dream project, (sic)” wrote Maanuke on a Facebook post.

Meanwhile Berry Heart is working on shooting the DVD of her latest album Kenya.
