The Zebras are scheduled to arrive here on June 6, 2017 from their trip in Morocco and with their opponents landing two days later.

Addressing journalists this week, Francistown mayor, Sylvia Muzila said the city is already excited that the Zebras is returning to the Francistown Sports Complex. She said the Zebras alone are motivation enough for the football lovers and whenever the national team goes to Francistown, the excitement builds.

“We have filled that stadium before and we are going to do it again next weekend,” she said. “We are already excited that we are the home of Zebras and that is the way we want to keep it.  We will rally behind our team wholeheartedly and motivate the players to ensure we win this game.” BFA chief executive officer, Ookeditse Malesu appreciated the support the team has received in Francistown and called on all the stakeholders to continue to support the national team.

“There is nothing fulfilling and encouraging in football for a player than a packed stadium at home. Our research has pointed that we have been over 90% successful in Francistown and that is why we are back here and we are calling for continued support,” Malesu said.

Assistant chairman of the local organising committee, Maokaneng Bontshetse said preparations for the game are already sorted out.  He said after hosting the Zebras a couple of times the stakeholders are now aware of their duties and they have undertaken them without challenges.

“Everything is in place, the LOC team will be on guard to see to it that everything that might crop up is dealt with immediately. “Security is in place. The police have confirmed 60 officers and we are ready. All that we are waiting for is our supporters and the kick off,” Bontshetse said.  Tickets went on sale on May 19 at different Compu-ticket outlets around the country.  The grand stand ticket sells for P80, Nswazwi stand P50 and the north and south stands for P30.
