Mingo Touch to launch gospel album next week

The artist who switched from kwaito to gospel music, has already released a single from the album called Ke Tuka Molelo and it was one of the gospel hits enjoyed over the past festive season.

At the launch he will be supported by a majority of singers such  as Vusi Mtokufa, Phempheretlhe, Vee Mampeezy, Ame Makoba, Figos, DJ Oats and many more.

Mingo, whose real names are Aminoni Mujokeri, told Arts & Culture that unlike his previous records the gospel album did not put him under any pressure in terms of the urgency to release.

“This time I am doing what makes me happy and I love it. I don’t have the pressure to make a comeback compared to the time when I was still doing kwaito,” he highlighted.

He said that Vee Mampeezy will support him at the launch despite parting ways recently. “Our relationship is more like (a) brotherhood, he is always there to support,” he said.

The Ke Mozezuru singer also emphasised that he treats his current project as a business and he is looking for good results. The young artist said he invited veteran gospel artists like Phempheretlhe because he grew up listening to his music.

“Vusi is a long time friend, but I included some upcoming artists in order to push their talents,” he said.

Mingo said on the album he worked with an artist from Zimbabwe called Flame B and locally he worked with Vee Mampeezy. “Producers include Godfrey, Phenyo and Dublin,” he said. Single tickets for the launch are sold at P50 each, double at P80 while the VIP tickets cost P150.
