The two gigs are said to be appreciation events. The Francistown gig is dubbed Tlatsa Ghetto and the Maun one is dubbed Tlatsa Maun. The venues and dates are yet to be confirmed in June.

“These are appreciation gigs to people that supported Kast during the walk and the Tlatsa Lebala campaign. It is also a continuation of proving that local music has support in every part of the country,” said Massie Hule the project manager of Tlatsa Lebala.

He noted that both gigs will have a line-up that is dominated with artists from the regions and a few crowd pullers from Gaborone.

“In Francistown we will have a line-up of artists from the northern region of the country and in Maun it will be artists from places surrounding Maun. Hopefully we will use the Francistown Sports Complex”.

Hule noted that despite accumulating funds from the previous events they still need financial support to host these two gigs. The Tlatsa Lebala team has however stayed mum on how much they accumulated during the Tlatsa Lebala event and they have stated that the number of revellers was around 15 000 not over 20 000 like Kast had previously said.

Hule noted that in these upcoming two events, they might receive help from the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development.

Just like how they were talking during the build up of the event, critics have gone on to say the venues will not be filled up in the upcoming events.
