But nothing was expected to materialise before the end of business yesterday, meaning the players will stay put.

The players had to return home as the rest of the team flew out to the North African country where the Zebras are preparing to face the Democratic Republic of Congo on next week Monday.

BFA public relations officer, Tumo Mpatane explained the reason why the six failed to board the plane to Morocco.

“The players and officials got the visas.

The problem is that the visas they got did not match their passport numbers. We are working around the clock and talking to our counterparts in Morocco to try and resolve this.

If nothing materialises before the close of day today (yesterday), it will mean that the boys who are back in the country, will fall back on some plan to keep them fit and ready for the game on June 10,” Mpatane said.

He said other players who were not part of the Morocco trip will move to Francistown on June 5 in preparation for the Africa Cup of Nations opening qualifier against Mauritania on June 10 in Francistown.

“In the meanwhile, they will follow a program given by coach, Peter Butler to those players who did not go to Morocco.”

Mothusi Johnson, Thabang Sesinyi, Lesego Galenamotlhale and Pako Rampou are the players who failed to fly to Morocco, while goalkeeper coach, Joseph Maposa and security manager, Jonas Ikgopoleng were the two officials.
