No arrests yet in Wilson�s death

“We have not received any leads since he was killed. We appeal to those who might be having information that can lead to the arrest of the alleged killers to come forward with such information,” Francistown Central station commander Lebalang Maniki told Mmegi yesterday.

He continued: “It is difficult to make any arrest in a complex murder case like this one if there is no tangible lead from informers”. Police said that criminals whose motives remain unknown to this day might have killed the pharmacist.

According to preliminary police investigations, Wilson might have been killed on his way to work from Donga location where he resided.

He was found with a stab wound on his body raising suspicion that the assailants must have struck him with a sharp object suspected to be a knife.

The 35-year-old’s body was discovered at Area A location behind the Institute of Health Sciences (IHS) moments after he was allegedly killed.

This is not the first murder in which police have failed to make an arrest.  In 2013, a 41-year-old Zambian national, Mwangala Malisao, who worked as a radiographer at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital, was found murdered at her Area A residence.

Her possessions, amongst them a television set, a microwave oven and a radio system, were stolen by the alleged killer(s). The offender(s) drove away in her Toyota RunX car and abandoned it at China Town where the police later found it.

None of the alleged killer(s) have been arrested to-date and police have often acknowledged that they are struggling to make any arrests.
