I did not touch the pastors - Morena Mmusi

The two were flogged by a Bakgatla regiment in Mochudi on April 10. While the church's bishop Seamogetswe Keoleletse has told Mmegi that his pastors were whipped violently by the roadside, in the presence of Mmusi, the Bakgatla royal told Mmegi yesterday that he knows nothing about the incident because he was not there in the first place.

'I read in the papers that I was at the spot where the pastors were flogged, but I must state on record that at the time I was actually in Gaborone; I only got to hear about the incident the following day through enquiries,' Mmusi said.

'I do not even know the pastors being reported about, I have never seen them with my own eyes; I wouldn't even say how they looked, or what they were wearing,' Mmusi told Mmegi.

He described the bishop's remarks as scandalous saying the church leader never confirmed with him these allegations before giving the media interviews.
