Mingo Engages His Girlfriend During Album Launch

It was emotional when the ‘Ke Mozezuru’ hit maker got down on one knee to pop the question with a ring on his hand much to the delight of the few revellers who had attended his debut gospel album launch at the Stanbic Bank Piazza on Saturday night.

Mingo, who had just got the crowd wild with his energetic performance when he performed the track Ke Tuka Molelo, said he had a surprise for someone special in his life.

At that moment, Katse was ushered up on stage and Mingo held her hand before getting down on his knee.

In an interview with Showbiz after his launch, Mingo Touch said he was happy to have finally popped the “big question”.

He said he had planned the surprise for his woman, as she has been the pillar of strength for him.

“This is new journey for me. Launching a new gospel album and engaging the person whom I want to settle down with and spend the rest of my life with. I am happy that she agreed,” he said.

“The launch went well, although not to my expectations. But it was a special day for me as I engaged Unami. I was not surprised that the show didn’t attract a big crowd because of the transformation that Mingo Touch is undergoing,” he added.

Mingo Touch said while this transformation may not be what his fans like and know about him he has to keep going and stick to what he believes in.

“I am happy for the crowd that came and enjoyed my performance. They were rejoicing. I have to push, it’s a new journey for me and for my fans,” he said.

The reformed young man, real name Aminoni Mujokeri, could not stop preaching to the revellers about how he found God. He gave them testimonies on how great the Lord had been to him.

‘It’s all about Jesus’, which features award winning Vee and Dubbllin, has 11 tracks, which include hits such as Ke Tuka Molelo, Unconquerable and title track It’s All About Jesus.

Other artists who performed on the night included Mingo Touch’s long time mentor Vee Mampeezy, Vusi and Dj Oats.
