Into The Okavango to premiere at Tribeca

Into the Okavango is directed and produced by Neil Gelinas of National Geographic. Gelinas also co-wrote it with Brian Newell

Okavango Delta - the UNESCO 1000th World Heritage Site - is one of the planet's last remaining true wildernesses, but studies have shown that it is shrinking.

The documentary follows a group of intrepid scientists embarking on an arduous four-month, 2400 kilometres journey upriver to the Okavango's source to investigate why the Okavango is shrinking.

The film features researchers that have worked in the Okavango led by Dr Steve Boyes from the Okavango Wilderness Project as well as the Bayei river men who hold the indigenous knowledge of the Okavango.
