In an interview with Showbiz, the renowned gospel artiste said even though it was not her first time to visit the country as she used to come and perform here years back, it was her first time to visit the country representing the ministry.

“I am responsible for the ministry’s global network. I lead the tribe of Judah where our mandate is to ensure that all ECG churches shall be worshippers.

We are here to teach the Serowe branch about prophetic worship. We also want them to know that we care about them,” she said.

She added that their other role is to build unity in the tribe of Judah globally. Swazi, who is married to the queen of song Sibongile Khumalo’s son Tshepo, further explained that she was thrilled when she received an invitation from Serowe branch to visit their tribe. She added that she had the privilege of visiting various tribes across the globe such as most of the Southern African Development Committee (SADC) countries, the United States of America and Europe line.

For her part, ECG Serowe branch pastor Bathusi Baeng said it was a privilege for Dlamini and her husband to have heeded their invitation.

“Swazi is an international leader of the tribe of Judah. We invited her so that she and her husband since they lead the tribe can come teach our praise and worship team conduct and singing (praise) so that they can measure to the international standards. She is a Crown Gospel Award winner and her husband is famous for brilliantly playing his violin. She was also a member of SA’s famous gospel company, Joyous Celebration,” she announced.

Swazi is the first Swazi to be contracted to Joyous Celebration. She boasts a successful 10-year long solo career in jazz and gospel.

She has used the Joyous Celebration platform in the business and expertise to establish a company of her own, Swazitainment.

Together with her violin-playing husband Mngoma, who also has a company of his own, Shammah Records, they are reported to be creating more opportunities for jazz musicians to shine.

Kgosi Elijah Makgoeng of Serowe and his wife also welcomed the couple with open arms.
