The album titled Home Sweet Home will be launched at The Savanna Lodge and the 22-year-old artist will be supported by Spiza Valentino, Rural Clan, Gustavo Scheki and many others.

The album was recorded at Black Jive studios and was mastered by HNB Music.  The motswako artist told Showbiz that he has already released two singles from the album, Gamaila and Home Sweet Home.

“It has songs like Skeleme, Re Mo Tsere and Come Duze,” he said.

Sparkz Lehipi said he started working on the album last year to perfect his craft.

“I have realised that for people to take us seriously we have to take time and perfect our skill,” he said.

For an artist who fell in love with music from an early age, Sparkz Lehipi said he used to listen to South Africa’s Msawawa and that inspired him to venture into kwaito.

“Now music is culture and it is dynamic, people are following motswako compared to kwaito hence my shift from kwaito to hip-hop.  Looking back, he said he only started to take his skill seriously after his Form Five.

He said he only featured upcoming artists like Raven Tladi, Lorato Drastic and Mindros just to name a few.

Sparkz Lehipi said his launch on Saturday would be divided into two sessions, one for children and later an evening session for the adults.

The artists from Gamaila said his name Sparkz was a name he was given by his friends, but later added Lehipi because of his sudden association with hip-hop.
