Technical storm brewing at Rollers

Kavazovic was appointed ‘The Blues’ coach at the start of the season on a one-year contract, with an option to extend for a further two years. Mpote was in charge last season, leading Popa to their 14th domestic title.
Information reaching Mmegi Sport is that, Kavazovic had intended to bring his assistant.
“There is a problem between Nikola and Teenage. They do not see eye to eye. The two do not agree on many tactical decisions. Kavazovic has always wanted to bring a coach he has previously worked with to be his assistant but the club (management) refused,” a source at the club said.
It is believed that, the Serbian tactician works closely with the club’s former centre back, Leutlwetse Tshireletso and goalkeeper coach, Thabo Motang while Mpote has been left in the cold. Rollers’ team manager, Motshegetsi Mafa, however, dismissed the reports, maintaining the two are in good terms.
“It is just mere rumours. There are no problems in our technical team, everyone is happy at the moment with how the team is performing. The thing is that both Mpote and Nikola saw the potential in Tshireletso and they are nurturing him to be a good coach in the future. It is not like Mpote is being sidelined, he is still part of the technical team,” Mafa said yesterday.
Mpote directed enquiries to the club management. Kavazovic recently took to Twitter to praise Tshireletso’s efforts at the club. “Botswana has a rising coach definitely one for the future - Leu Tshireletso, an amazing gifted tactician, charismatic, quick decision maker, authoritative. All the best Leu! And am happy to have him next to (me),” the tweet reads.
Mpote’s days at the club appear to be numbered as Kavazovic also hinted that he would like to bring his former assistant coach, Marko Vaseiljevic on board at Popa earlier this month on Twitter as his tweet reply reads: “Thanks to my assistant @markovaske10 &hope he will join me soon”, after Vaseiljevic took to social media to congratulate his ‘mentor’ on beating Sudan’s Al Merriekh in the CAF Champions League.
