Galaxy coach, Mike ‘Dubula Dubula’ Sithole immediately blamed fatigue for the loss against GU on Saturday.

Sithole said his boys had two trips during the week that affected their training and they looked tired on the pitch.

“Imagine travelling to Orapa by bus and in few days again, the team left to Gaborone for the awards and they are expected to perform on Saturday.

We will, however prepare for the next game and come out strong,” he said.

Sithole congratulated Rollers for winning the league adding Galaxy gave them a run for their money.

GU went ahead as early as the first minute with Tumisang Orebotse registering his name on the scoresheet after 55seconds. But Galaxy hit back through Thabang Sesinyi who converted from a corner after three minutes.

Both teams went out in search of the winner, with GU going ahead for the second time in the game when Kabelo Seakanyeng capitalised on Galaxy’s mistake at the back to fire past Anthony Gouws in the 28th minute. Two minutes later the game was over as  Seakanyeng grabbed his brace, capitaliszing on a Thatayaone Ditlhokwe threaded pass.

Dubula tried to save the game, sending in Tebogo Moroka for Isaac Paeye a minute later, but instead scorer, Sesinyi was cautioned as the game slid away.

Gilbert Baruti replaced Thero Setsile after 55 minutes while Lesego Lubinda took Peter Olangi’s place 10minutes after, but the scoreline remained untroubled.

GU, with the game in the bag, replaced Obonwe Maome with Lorato Botshelo while Karabo Phiri went out for Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba in the last five minutes.

GU coach, Rodolph Zapata was excited by the win, saying his side played beautiful football and dominated the match. He said the win meant a lot to their hopes of finishing in the top eight.

“Galaxy is a tough team and we played with young and dynamic players to control the game,” he said.

Galaxy’s loss has deprived fans of a repeat of the 2008/2009 season when the league was decided on the last day with the top two then, Rollers and Chiefs clashing. Rollers and Galaxy meet in what will now be a dead rubber this week.
