Enerst Legwale, 43, allegedly hired hitmen to kill his then wife, Dimpho Meswele, but the killer accidentally murdered the sister (Thato) instead, back in 2015 at Oodi village.

Recently Broadhurst chief magistrate Faith Ngandu denied Legwale and his co-accused, Hamadi Nkhuha, 47, bail, allowing the prosecution to further investigate the case.

The police made a breakthrough after two years of investigation and arrested the duo on February 19.

The matter has been scheduled for hearing before Judge Tshepo Motswagole on March 28.

Legwale denied ever hiring Zimbabweans, Nkhuha and another still on the ran, to kill his ex-wife, but claimed to have only hired them to plant a baboon head at his ex-wife’s yard at Oodi village on claims that it would fix their marriage.
