Nico’s resistance is about to be broken, although Baby-Jombies cannot be ruled out until the last whistle. But now their life depends on the outcome from other matches, with fate firmly out of their hands.

While their remaining games against Sankoyo Bush Bucks and relegated Mahalapye United Hotspurs are winnable, that will not be enough to save their skins.

Miscellaneous have to lose both their encounters against red-hot rookies Security Systems and already relegated cross-town rivals Green Lovers. If the Serowe outfit gains two points out of the two games, then its doom and gloom for Majombolo.

Police XI are also a stumbling block for Majombolo’s survival and all the law enforcers need is a draw in their last two games. Nico are at 26 points and their inferior goal difference compounds their problem. Police XI are at 31 points and just one point and the Cops are safe.

That leaves Majombolo facing an explosive volcano. Club manager Booster Moalosi who admitted the matter is now out of their hands, said, however, they will not throw in the towel until the last whistle.

“There is no therefore in football; there is always room for a surprise turn around. We admit the odds are against us but there is lady luck. The boys are determined to win the last games and that is our focus,” he said.

“We will accept our fate after the last whistle and we will draw new plans when we get to the bridge. At the moment, we compete in the Premiership and we cannot throw in the towel; Nico is a big brand,” he said.

If the worst happens, First Division North competition will be one of the toughest with the addition of Majombolo, Hotspurs and Green Lovers to an already star studded line-up.

Lovers coach, Othusitse Kootswele has already raised a hand that he wants his side back in the top flight. “We have a good experience of the First Division and the Premiership. We have a good base of development and we know what it takes. We will be back next season and we hope to find a better packaged premiership.”

The trio will add to BR Highlanders that slipped at the last moment and the persistently challenging Sua Flamingoes, alongside Morupule Wanderers that had underperformed. Fingers will be crossed that Motlakase succeed in the play-offs otherwise it will add to the looming north gloom.
