Pregnancy pills missing in hospital

Woodhall police station commander, Superitendent Tebogo Madisa confirmed the incident yesterday.

He said they were probing a possible case of theft, but his office was not in any position to share further details.

“Thirty-three tablets disappeared at Athlone Hospital on May 11. Our investigations have just commenced hence we are not in a position to share details at this point,” he said.

Madisa said he could not deny nor agree that by yesterday they had detained suspects in connection with the incident.

“What I can say is that we have some people who are helping us with investigations,” he said.

A source close to the case said several employees who were on duty the night the pills went missing were on May 12 questioned, but released.
