In that new single, Testify who is also known as The Preacher Bowy is commending all the church going ladies for being responsible women and prayer warriors.

In an interview with Showbiz, the Motsotsonyana hit maker said embarking on RnB does not mean that he has abandoned Christianity. He said he was still a Christian artist even though he opted to venture into a different genre.  “When I wrote this song, I wanted to show people that we could still make good music with good concept without using vulgar or foul language.

In this song, I encourage all the church going girls to be who they are and abide by the gospel. I don’t want them to feel like being true to themselves and going to church is a bad thing. In fact they are the ones that other girls should look up to,” he said.

He added that when other girls go clubbing, those who go to church would either be safe at home or go for an all night prayer. He encouraged all the ‘church girls’ to be strong and keep on being prayer warriors.

“I have decided to shift to RnB because I realised that rap music has lost its significance. Many rappers rap alike.

Most of the rap music is the same and you would think its sung by one artist. Most of the artists are not creative and some even go to the extent of stealing each other’s lines,” he said.

He said that gone are days when gospel music was only remembered as soft melodies with mild or no instruments at all. He explained that in the new era, gospel musicians have diversified gospel music and it now falls into many of the well-known music genres across the globe.

“Embarking on RnB does not mean that I have abandoned gospel. If I abandon gospel it means I will be abandoning God. I cant live without his guidance and protection. I am still a church boy.

I will still give life testimonies and spreading the gospel through RnB. Singing gospel does not necessary mean that I should always be singing about the Holy Spirit. I can do that by spreading positivity to people,” he ended.
