Orange Phikwe marathon scheduled for August 5

According to Orange Botswana public relations and foundation manager, Boga Chilinde-Masebu, the Orange Selebi-Phikwe National Marathon is on again this year and promises to be bigger and better than it was last year.
“It gives me great pleasure to announce that this year’s marathon has been confirmed for Saturday 5 August in Selebi- Phikwe. We are working round the clock with the Local Organising Committee, which is based in Phikwe to deliver a top notch event this year,” she said.
As the only IAAF-approved and certified marathon in the country, the Selebi-Phikwe marathon is expected to continue to attract large numbers of international and local professional runners.
The marathon will feature four race categories namely the 42.2km marathon as the main race, the 15km and 4km fun run and is open to runners across the age spectrum ranging from professional runners to amateurs and children.
Registration for the marathon can be done online at www.selibephikwemarathon.com as well as at select Orange shops around the country.
