The initiative offers MYSC- funded businesses an FNBB bundle that includes Transactional, Investment, as well as Insurance and Lending products.

The youth will also benefit from Capacity Building, Coaching, Mentoring and facilitation of access to markets from FNBB.

According to the bank’s chief executive officer, Steven Bogatsu, as part of the partnership, they have introduced tailored products for the benefit of the youth.

“The initiative supports the entrepreneurship drive that many youth have demonstrated and we at the bank recognise the role that we play as the private sector to partner with government in order to realise the economic diversification drive,” he said.

He said that FNBB prides itself as an innovative bank as their products and services offer a broad spectrum of banking solutions that add real value to the customer.

He said that the FNB Youth Value Proposition supports the entrepreneurship drive that many youth have demonstrated, adding that it promotes financial inclusion and easy access to financial solutions, especially for youth in business.

“Mentorship in business is something that I take personal interest in because I believe it is imperative that young people are exposed to opportunities and equipped with knowledge and skills that they may not otherwise have access to. I am happy to share with you that the leadership at FNB has committed to partaking in the mentorship initiative in collaboration with experienced clients and other stakeholders,” he said.

Further he urged all parties concerned in the management and implementation of the Value Proposition including beneficiaries, to adhere to principles of good governance, equity and transparency for the sustainability of the Value Proposition.

Permanent Secretary at MYSC, Kago Ramokate said strategic partnerships are required to augment government efforts.

Highlighting the need for the private sector and other able and willing players to mutually commit to this greater cause to ensure realisation of a proportional mileage in youth empowerment.

“We are reaffirming the stature of youth empowerment at the apex of our programming as a ministry, and ensuing realisation that youth issues are developmental issues.

The Value Proposition presented would not only grow viable businesses, but would also reinforce positive behaviours and build character among the young people targeted to benefit from this partnership,” he said.
