Five Win P7,000 Monthly Salary From Shell

Ten Shell Vivo energy customers were drawn as finalists in the countrywide promotion, which started in December 2017 and ended on Saturday, with only five emerging as winners of the Shell Vivo energy P7,000 monthly salary. The winners shared amongst themselves over P400,000 prize pool.
The winners are former Dikgang Publishing Company (DPC) employee, Zolani Kraai, Esther Gaboratanelwe, Alfred Freddie, Reggie Mongae and Blessing Msipa.
The promotion was intended to appreciate and reward customers for their loyalty and support in purchasing Shell branded fuels and lubricants as well as to give consumers the opportunity to experience the benefits of Shell Vivo Energy. Speaking to The Monitor after the awarding of prizes, Kraai who was overwhelmed by emotion, said this has been God’s doing because after DPC, he has been down on his luck struggling to find a job and had no regular income.
“When I got a call from Vivo Energy I couldn’t believe it when the caller told me I have been selected as one of the 10 finalists of the Shell Win a salary competition. I was overwhelmed by the good news as I have never won anything in my life with all the competitions I remember entering.
Fast forward to Saturday morning, I wake up cool and calm, but nervous. I was the first one to arrive at the venue, but I took the number 10 of the list of the finalists and was the last one to open the envelope. I could not believe my eyes. Tears of joy flooded my eyes. God is in control, I will be able to sustain my family,” he said.
One of the directors of Shell Vivo Energy Botswana, Gertrude Muzola said that they were happy with how the promotion went. She acknowledged the growing commitment and loyalty of customers, adding that the promotion was intended to reward its loyal customers with a chance to win a salary and goodies with Shell Vivo Energy for a year.
“We cannot disclose how much we have made from the promotion, but we can show that by giving away what we make to our customers. We are giving back what they have spent in a way. It has been an exciting promotion, with lots of giveaways,” she said.
The two-month promotion started on December 2017 and ended on February 18, 2018 and saw five lucky customers win the grand prize of P7,000 monthly salary for one year. Customers also won several instant prizes in the duration of the promotion that included three fuel vouchers and P500 cash every two weeks.
Winners of the P7,000 monthly salary who purchased fuel using the Leokwane fuel card will get an extra 10% while the other finalist will be rewarded with P2,000 once-off cash. To enter the promotion, consumers were required to purchase over P200 fuel at any Shell Service Station to get a competition coupon.
