The single, which is a Prez Beatz production, was released a few weeks ago. The collaboration between these two artists brought some Afro hip-hop fusion sound to the single.

The fusion of Frost’s uptown English raps and Morwa Tsankana on the chorus gave birth to an African traditional hip-hop sound.

When listening to the track one might think it is just a traditional music track and the next thing Frost comes in with his English raps.

“I always love experimenting; the great thing about hip hop is that you can fuse it with any other genre and make something unique.

I also wanted something to appeal to all the age groups and music preferences,” Frost told Showbiz in an interview.

He noted that working on the track with Morwa Tsankana was not planned. Prez Beatz made the beat of the song, which Morwa Tsankana asked if he could try out something with the beat.

“It was great; the way it came together in the end was just perfect and crazy enough. Tsankana wasn’t there when I did my verses and neither was I there when he did the chorus so that’s just incredible that it worked that well.”

The sound brought by the two artists on this track has made Frost to be outstanding from the majority of young rappers who have all gone the trap way. He noted that the release of Kgwanyape is his re-introduction to the pubic since he had gone silent due to academic reasons.

With the release of Kgwanyape, Frost has a ground to maintain since his first single Pula, which was released two years ago, broke the Internet and became the most viewed Botswana hip hop video on Youtube.

“Only God knows but I believe this song will do even better and reach even more people than I have before. Everyone who’s heard it, loves it and that’s crazy, next stop, the world,” Frost said.

The young rapper is working on a mix-tape and it will be released during the course of the year.
