�Happy hour�, happy Thursdays at Grand Palm hotel

Peermont Global Limited (Botswana) Marketing Administrator, Samantha Bogopa said the initiative dubbed ‘Happy Hour’ will be hosted every week, Thursday and Friday.
The corporate social responsibility initiative comes once a month on the last Thursday of every month. It is one of the ways in which the company will reach out, interact and possibly help the community in which it does business within.
It all started when they celebrated International Women’s Day, and they felt they should continue with the initiative, said Bogopa She continued that they now invite young people to come through and showcase their talent. “Looking at our clients and the talent we have; we wanted to put a new twist to the Happy Hour”, said Bogopa.
Bogopa said they are trying to nurture talent that is there but not yet recognised. This can be visual or performing artists or any other talent that they may be able to help grow. Bogopa says through the ‘Happy Hour’ they are trying to help a lot of young talented people especially those into business who always knocked at their doors to use their facilities but do not have the means.
“We want their brands to be known”, says Bogopa. The last ‘ Happy Hour’ they hosted, included clothing line House of K who were showcasing their winter collection. Norah Cosmetics were also showing their products.
Bogopa said every young talented individual who has an idea that is still “fresh” and workable can approach them to take part of the Happy Hour initiative. “We want something that the public will want to know”, said Bogopa.
She said they have been using social media to invite young people to the initiative. However Bogopa added that they still need to reach more to young people especially using their mainstream media partners. Surely last month Thursdays will never be the same without some “ Happy Hour’ at Grand Palm Hotel.
