This is after the two parties requested postponement in a case in which the LSB had applied for disbarment of law firm owner and attorney Isaac Seloko. The matter was scheduled for argument on Thursday before High Court Justice Leatile Dambe.

LSB executive secretary, Tebogo Moipolai told The Monitori that the matter has been postponed to December 11, 2017 to allow the process of curatorship take course.

“We want to appoint curators to take over. We had made this application before but he opposed it, but now he has agreed that since he says there is no complainant against him, we want the report from the curators to reflect that.

“After that he should then stay 12 months without practice before we go to court to withdraw our application to have him disbarred. The issue of whether to withdraw is dependent on what the curators will say in their report,” said Moipolai.

The LSB had raised concern that despite an interdict that the former member of Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) disciplinary committee should not practise or conduct himself as an attorney, they were indications Seloko was still practising law.

LSB had noted that some clients of the erstwhile firm had not been given back their files and documents, and claims against the trust account continued to be received.

Victor Ramalepa represents Seloko while Pepsi Thuto represents the LSB in the matter.
