The home fans felt Leso was biased and bayed for his blood at the end of encounter as the police had to escort the match official out of the match venue.

The game saw Orapa opening the scoring as early as the fifth minute when Lemogang Maswena caught Tse Nala defence and goalkeeper off guard. But Miscellaneous restored parity in the 14th minute when Moodley Njeleza finished Kebatshephile Monthe’s corner kick. The teams were deadlocked at half time, both introducing fresh legs in the second half as they sought the winner.

It was Tendai Nyumasi who gave Orapa the winner with six minutes left, following a swift counter attack as Gift Moyo’s assist found the Zimbabwean midfielder.

The end brought ugly scenes as disgruntled Miscellaneous fans expressed their discontent with Leso’s handling of the game. They argued their side was denied two penalties. Leso had to wait for sometime in the dressing room for the angry Miscellaneous mob to disperse. Police officers and security guards had to escort Leso to his vehicle.

Miscellaneous coach, Russia Chaba meanwhile admitted that his team was robbed but vowed they will fight until the end. “We are only left with a few games which we shall ensure that we collect maximum points in order to save the team from relegation,” said the visibly disappointed Chaba.

Even though he refused to comment more on the referee’s performance, Chaba felt Leso did not handle the match well. Orapa coach, Madinda Ndlovu applauded his boys for the win but he complained that his team continues to give away soft goals.

“A win will always be welcome regardless of how we played the game. But I must admit that it was hard points for us. I am still concerned about my team giving away soft goals especially in the past three games. But all in all, the boys tried today,” he said.
