Mister Gaborone contestants engage in social activities

“Mister Gaborone contestants have engaged in different community activities. Some of them are working with children living with disabilities whilst others are engaged in different social activities.
These contestants will continue with their various roles even after the pageant.”
“They will continue lending our vulnerable community members the help they need on a monthly basis.
For example, the contestant who donated food and toiletry hamper at Old Naledi will adopt the old woman and help her with food and toiletry on regular basis as he would for his own parents,” he confidently said.
He added that the contestants had been in a bootcamp where they showcased their talents and exchanged different ideas. He said they also chose Mister Photogenic and Beach Body winners. These winners will automatically go through to the top 10. They had also gone to the gym where they tried to perfect their bodies towards the big day. As far as preparations go, Phofhedi said they are going well for the grand finale.
He promised that the event would be magical and called on the public to attend in larger numbers. “We will be having different parades such as the traditional attire, swim wear, suits and others. In addition to that, this year is our second season of Mister Gaborone, we have been fortunate as we have three offers from international pageants such as Mister Universal Ambassador, which will be in India, Mister Heritage International that will be held in Mauritius and Mister Africa of which we are yet to get the confirmation of the venue,” he said.
He pointed out health was also their main objective that is why they were endorsed by the Ministry of Health and Awareness through the Department of Safe Male Circumcision.
Mister Gaborone is also working hand-in-hand with Men for Health and Gender System.
Phofhedi also called on the public and local artists to assist them wherever possible since they were struggling financially.
The grand finale will be held at Cresta Lodge on June 16, 2018 at 6pm.
