Monei Events to celebrate motherhood in style

It is for this very reason that people take time to celebrate mothers, just to show them love and appreciation.  Monei Events Projects Pty Ltd has developed its own tradition of giving back to the mothers of the nation in a stylish and elegant event now known as the Mother’s Day High Tea and this year they celebrate their third anniversary since the event’s inception in 2016.  This year’s event will be held at Lodubeng Village Park in Kanye on May 13 under the theme ‘intergenerational parenting’.

“It is just a way of appreciating our mothers at the same time celebrating the bond between mothers and daughters,” director and founder of the event, Nayang Nkwakweng told Arts & Culture. Nkwakweng said they only invite daughters because they are the mothers of tomorrow.

“Also in as much as all bonds are imperative, the mother-daughter bond is the most important as it holds a lot,” she said.

Nkwakweng further said mothers need assurance and time out from the ‘mommy work’ they do, so weddings and funerals should not be their only escape.

“Hence this event serves the very purpose of giving them a chance to look and feel good on a day that is theirs to enjoy it to the fullest.”

Single tickets are sold at P130, P250 for double, P380 for three people and P500 for party of five.  Dresses and hats will be the order of the day.  Food will be offered to everyone in attendance.  There are hampers for mothers and daughters to be distributed, but most importantly, guest speakers will add life and meaning to the event by sharing motivational words with regards to the theme.

“Be sure to bring your mothers, aunties, sisters, grannies and great grandmothers as this is an event not to miss,” Nkwakweng said.
