MindQ will pay for the hosting of the site for the next three years, and will contain all the team’s information.

The public will be able to interact with the team through the website.

The website is expected to avail the relevant information like team profiles, schedules, fixtures and results which will help to inform the global village about the preparations as well as what to expect when they arrive in Botswana, the company said.

Netball Cup Local Organising Committee chairperson, Prisca Mokgadi said she considers the MindQ sponsorship as a very key strategic sponsorship. Mokgadi said she was grateful to MindQ for taking a step to partner with the LOC.

Speaking at the website partnership launch, the permanent secretary in the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development, Kago Ramokate said he was proud of the effort the LOC is putting in the search for sponsorship.

He encouraged the team not to be discouraged when some companies turn them down. Ramokate said the LOC should maintain the energy and the drive when making attempts for sponsorship to different corporate leadership.

“With competing sport events in Botswana, there can never be enough money to go around.

It is against this background that we again call upon companies to do what BITC, Debswana, the Department of Broadcasting and now MindQ have done to ensure the games are a success,” Ramokate said.

He said the society will easily access information about the event since the website has all the information that someone would ask for.

He added that access to information from the website will have a huge effect on the preparations.

Meanwhile, Ramokate said he assumes that lack of a website was one of the pressures that the LOC and the Botswana Netball Association president, Tebogo Lebotse-Sebego faced.
