State Lawyer Arrested For Possession Of A �Bloody Gun�

“The gun was found in her office on Wednesday after a tip-off from some police officers. She was then arrested and detained by Central Police Station where she is awaiting to be whisked away to Kutlwano Police Station in Francistown,” the source said.
It is however not clear how the gun got to be in the possession of the said prosecutor.
Central Police Station commander Superintendent Vincent Pitsietsile referred enquiries to Kutlwano Police stating that they were just asked to detain the suspect who was later taken away by Kutlwano Police.
Contacted for comment Kutlwano Police Station Serumola said, “We had a report that some people were found in possession of a gun and the investigations led to Gaborone.
I am not privy of all the details of the matter as the officers handling have gone to Gaborone as part of the investigations”.
Police spokesperson Witness Bosija confirmed that a state prosecutor is helping the police with investigations.
“Investigations are still at an initial stage hence there is no further information I can share at the moment,” he said.
DPP boss Abraham Keetshabe confirmed the arrest. “It is true that one of our prosecutors was arrested on Wednesday after being found in a possession of a gun.
That is as far as we know. We do not have any details to share at the moment, the police would be in a better position to shed more light,” he said.
