Elephants seen in Kweneng, Kgatleng Districts - DWNP

Their spoors were seen at Lephaleng lands and Seshoboloko area on Tuesday and Wednesday morning in Kgatleng District, and in Legonono, Kudumelapye, Ngoatlhwane lands in the Kweneng District yesterday.

Also on the April 16, 2017 one elephant was seen in Marungwana and Munyetlatlala lands. Wildlife officers are working around the clock searching and driving them back to conservation and range areas.

The Department of Wildlife and National Parks will continue to monitor the situation, and take appropriate action.

The public is advised to exercise extra caution when in these areas and avoid provoking or harassing the elephants especially with dogs.

The public is requested to continue reporting to the nearest wildlife office, Kgotla or police station if they see these animals.
