Addressing his colleagues in Gaborone Monday last week after taking over from the retired CJ Maruping Dibotelo, Rannowane confirmed the appointments.
February this year, this publication reported that the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) had recommendation of the appointments of Justices Makhwade and Dambe as CoA judges, and observers questioned what criteria was used to shortlist the two.
Some High Court judges were not pleased with the recommendation as they felt some of their colleagues were overlooked by the secretive JSC.
