SA hip hop group teargas to perform in Gabs

The launch for the South African outfit will take place at Bull and Bush this Saturday.

The launch, which promises to be a night to remember for hip-hop lovers, is brought to you by a local entertainment company, RIZN Media.

'It's going to be a party to remember with Dolla Mac as MC for the night, DJ Kenzo and Kuchi on the decks and of course Teargas performing on stage with Emcee Africa winner Cibil Nyte, who will be warming the stage for the SA trio. To accommodate everyone who will surely be dancing the night away, Bull 'n' Bush will have an additional dance floor. I am really excited about the upcoming Teargas Dark Or Blue album launch party at Bull 'n' Bush. Hip Hop fans and music lovers will definitely be entertained by these talented, award winning artists.  Planning for the event is well underway, and security is a top priority in our planning because we want to ensure everyone has some good, carefree fun' Tshepo 'Rox' Sikwane, co-owner of RIZN Media said.

Ntokozo 'KO' Mduli, brothers Ezee 'Ma-E' Hanabe and Bantu 'Ntukuza' Hanabe who hail from Piet Retief, Mpumalanga and Soweto respectively- make up the hip hop outfit known as Teargas. The group has been in the mainstream Hip Hop industry since 2004 and since then, has made their mark in the Southern African hip hop scene. 

Teargas, signed under Electromode Music has previously released two albums with hit singles such as Teargas Anthem, We Came to the Party, Chance and Champions to name just a few. The Group has received immense recognition for their music, which communicates messages of hope and aims to raise social awareness within the masses on an array of social ills which affect society. 

Teargas won Metro FM Awards in 2008 and 2009 for Best Album, Best Hip Hop Award and Best Song of the Year and Best Group. Last year, they scooped the coveted SAMAs for Best Rap and they did it again at this year.
