Saleshando said the primaries would be held in their 17 allocated constituencies.

“The constituency will have to express their views about the candidates. Vetting committee will look at the reasons raised by either branch or constituency against the candidate.

Vetting is underway currently. After the vetting committee has finished its work it will then hand to party central committee,” he said.

On other issues, Saleshando said his party has raised some of their complaints to Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC) especially failure to implement certain things that the constitutional congress agreed on.

He said the UDC has given itself deadline of May 25, 2018 to have registered the final UDC constitutional which has amendments.

“Constitution is the key to every organisation. You cannot work in the dark without anything guiding you,” he said.
