With less than three weeks set to defy the odds, the Tlatsa Lebala team has not released the lineup for the festival that also clashes with the Orange Letlhafula.

Even though Orange Botswana has outlined that they are not Tlatsa Lebala rivals by donating P40,000 to Kast’s event, the two events will surely share revellers on the day.

Preparations for Tlatsa Lebala are underway and the 1,000km walk hero is currently busy with activations. He recently announced that tickets are selling like hot cakes and outlined that there were about 10,000 tickets left at the time.   It is no surprise that Tlatsa Lebala has not released the lineup yet because last year it was revealed a week before the event.

But Tlatsa Lebala coordinator, Massie Hule told Showbiz that the lineup would be released during the upcoming Easter Holidays.

“It will be the same lineup (as the last one announced), but we have beefed it up with a few artists,” he said.

Hule said the event was postponed not cancelled hence why they are running with the same lineup of artists.

“We reduced the ticket price from P150 to P100 and now we are beefing up the lineup,” he highlighted.  He said upcoming artists were given a chance to be in the lineup during the voting process last year, but there was nothing of the sort this time around.

Hule also highlighted that the event is about local empowerment.

“It’s not about who is performing because there is no main act,” he said.

Last year’s lineup included Young Black, Dramaboi, Mosako, HT, BanT, Reaxcion, Chef Gustos, Chrispin, Gouveia, Groovy Souls, Joel, Vee, MMP Family, Amanandos, Franix, DJ Izzy, DJ Fauz, DJ Root, Guyvos, DJ Sly, DJ Shaboo, Ditiro, Dollar, Amantle Brown, DJ Prince De Kok, Koola, Cooks, Sadie, Khumo, Leungo, Chrome, Epic, Gaone, Nagu, Licky, Frost and Metal Horizon.

The public voted for some of the upcoming artists in the lineup.  Other big artists like Scar were not in the lineup, but will possibly be included because they pledged to perform for free.
