White Colour Black movie premieres soon

Actor, writer and playwright, Donald Molosi brings the film in collaboration with Botswana Movies Entertainment. The film star, Dudley O’Shaughnessy and the film’s director will be in Gaborone for the event. One may remember O’Shaugnessy for playing Rihanna’s love interest in the video, We Found Love.

In the film White Colour Black, O’Shaugnessy plays an exceptional role of Leke, a British young man discovering his African roots.

He is a young successful photographer living in the United Kingdom, who finds himself embarking on a journey of self-discovery when his father falls ill and dies, leading him to return to his home, Senegal. Leke has not been in Senegal ever since he was a young man and having lived a hedonistic lifestyle for most of his life, the return home makes it an all too interesting movie to look forward to.

Molosi is a young man doing big things in thea industry.  He studied theatre and performing arts at the University of California, Santa Barbara and has a degree in classical acting from London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.  He has continued to acquire more education in the acting arena and staged a number of roles in Broadway shows.  In an interview with Arts & Culture, Molosi expressed so much excitement with regard to the premiere.

 “I am very excited that Botswana is hosting a premiere of this magnitude, especially because these are people I work with too often in their countries and finally they get to see my home,” said an enthusiastic Molosi.

The only speaker at the show will be former deputy secretary general of the Commonwealth, Mmasekgoa Masire-Mambwa.

Guests will have a chance to take pictures, meals will be served and an autograph session with O’Shaughnessy will take place. Tickets sell at P500 each and are available at Mantlwaneng Theatre, Westwood International School.
