The area Member of Parliament (MP) Masego Segokgo and the church leaders in Reverend Motsepe Sentsimako and Reverend Simon Legwete were also present.

Tlamelong Rehabilitation Centre was established in 1974 to cater for physically disabled children.

The school is under the Botswana Red Cross Society and admission into the school is free. Sentsimako and Legwete both emphasised the joy it brings in giving, and that it was a Biblical principle.

MP Segokgo elaborated on the essence of learning to live within one’s means bearing in mind that God would make provisions.

“As human beings we must always ask God first for whatever our hearts desire knowing that he will provide,” Segokgo said.  He thanked the church for the kind gesture made towards the home. Kgosana Matsetse said the day was special as it was also Batlokwa Kgosikgolo Gaborne’s birthday.
