BPL chief executive officer, Thabo 'Styles' Ntshinogang said the league programme was supposed to be concluded on Saturday, but the Zebras' involvement in the COSAFA Cup had necessitated a shift.

'There was a request from the BFA to allow the national team to assemble and get ready to depart for South Africa on Friday. This forced us to move to midweek, otherwise the league was supposed to finish on May 26,' Ntshinogang said.

Despite often chaotic scenes where even established giants such as Gaborone United failed to bring a full complement of players to matches, the season is headed for a photo finish.
