Last month the two farm workers, Zimbabwean Jabulani Dube, 31, and 32-year-old Mokgalemi Maleya from Ramotswa accused of murdering Davids got their bail revoked as prosecution indicated their readiness to prosecute.

Prosecution had indicated to the Molepolole Magistrate’s Court that investigations were complete and that they have gathered enough evidence for the pair to stand trial.

Dube’s lawyer Sesupo Masaka confirmed that his client was back in custody as the case was already at the High Court.

“The case had been committed to the High Court for trial and the accused that was on bail is remanded as well, I will be filing for his bail,” he said.

Masaka said they were preparing for the trial but sad he was taken aback when the case was committed as normally this kind of cases take long before committal.

The accused are each facing one count of murder as the state alleges that on January 14, 2018 at Serilatholo village near Letlhakeng the duo murdered their employer, 68-year-old Davids.
