Rollers had just won a third consecutive league title last night, but their celebrations were dampened with news that robbers held security guards ransom at around 3:30am before ransacking the building for cash.

Club president, Jagdish Shah said the estimated amount included gate takings from last night’s game against Extension Gunners and personal cash in dollars.

The robbers also took Shah’s laptop and jewellery.

“They pointed guns at the security guards, and broke down the doors. We had not counted the money from the match (yet), but in all, it’s estimated at P800,000 including my personal cash,” Shah said.

He said they do not have any suspects in custody at the moment, and the club had changed the way it handled gate takings after losing P250,000 to robbers last season.
