Mpote has reportedly been relieved off his duties thus losing his place on the team’s technical bench with former player, Leutlwetse Tshireletso preferred by Kavazovic.

Mpote said he has been approached by a host of clubs locally and abroad, but there is nothing concrete at the moment.

“Of course there a couple of teams who are after my services. I cannot reveal the names at the moment. A coaching job is not safe, you are safe now, the next minute you out of job, but I am still contracted to Rollers until 2019,” he said.

He refused to discuss his strained relationship with Kavazovic.

“As a professional coach, I do not want to get involved in such issues. My coaching ethics do not allow me to comment on such issues so I would not say anything for now.”

However, a source revealed that Mpote is on his way out.

“He will leave anytime, the relationship between him and Nikola is at a point where it cannot be fixed. He has reported the matter to the management, but they have done nothing. A number of teams have enquired about his services, including GU (Gaborone United) and (Jwaneng) Galaxy. The GU job enticed him the most but the financial problems at the club kept him away,” the insider said.

Extension Gunners, TAFIC, Police XI and First Division sides, Morupule Wanderers and Sua Flamingos are also said to have shown interest in Mpote’s services.

On Wednesday night when Rollers won the league, Mpote rushed on to the field to congratulate the players before dashing off before the medal ceremony.

“I did not receive my medal because I did not sit on the bench, I just congratulated the boys and went back to the stands.

They (Rollers management) will bring it to me, it’s nothing big,” Mpote explained his actions to Mmegi Sport yesterday. He is said to be on Rollers’ payroll despite being on “unpaid leave” at the club.

On Wednesday night, Kavazovic told the media that Mpote never welcomed him since he joined the club. Mpote has been serving in the Rollers bench for close to a decade now, making him the longest member of the technical team after goalkeeper coach, Thabo Motang. He won the title with Rollers last season, before Kavazovic.
